GIVE

"God loves a cheerful giver ."
2 Corinthians 9:7

Giving is an act of worship. Because God has generously given us all good things, we joyfully imitate God by giving our time and resources.  Our gratitude overflows into generosity.

Inspirational Worship

Worship is the center of our life together at Meadow Oaks Baptist Church. Our pastor, minister of music, and the worship committee work to provide worship services that are inspiring, Biblical, and relevant to the challenges of the world we face each day.

Spiritual Growth

Our faith becomes a reality when we share the stories of the Bible and our personal experiences of God’s love and discuss how to apply those truths to our daily lives. Through preaching, Sunday School, study groups, mission trips, and ministries for children and youth, we are learning and growing together in our faith.

Caring Connections

When we are sick, lonely, frightened, or grieving, we need to connect. As we bear each other’s burdens, we strengthen one another through pastoral support, listening, and advice; hospital visits; bereavement and grief support; and prayer for those facing illness and other hardships.

Facility Updates

We believe we are called to be good stewards of that which God has provided for us; the care and preservation of our church buildings is part of that responsibility. In addition to helping us keep the buildings and grounds in good repair, gifts to MOBC make it possible for the congregation to update the facilities when needed to support the ministries of the church.

Hunger & Poverty

Meadow Oaks partners with the food pantries Churches Touching Lives for Christ in Temple and Helping Hands in Belton to provide food assistance for low-income individuals and households in Bell County. The church provides funding and volunteers throughout the year to support the activities of these organizations, which include food distributions twice each week, weekend nutrition packs for school children, and backpacks with school supplies for children in low-income areas each fall.

Hope for the Homeless

As a supporting church of Family Promise of East Bell County, Meadow Oaks helps the organization assist homeless families, giving them meals and a safe place to stay while they look for jobs and affordable housing.  The church provides a week’s worth of meals for the Family Promise clients several times each year as well as financial support for the agency. Christmas gifts for the families at the shelter are also included among the giving opportunities provided on the MOBC Missions Tree during the Advent season each year.

Supporting missions and relief efforts worldwide

Global Needs

The impact of gifts reaches far beyond our local community through MOBC’s involvement in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Offering for Global Missions and the Texas Baptist Hunger Offering.  In addition to monthly contributions to both the CBF and Texas Baptists, the church regularly designates special funds for relief efforts spurred by natural disasters or political conflicts around the globe.

Missionary Support

Meadow Oaks’ gifts to the CBF and BGCT also support the presence of missionaries in areas of the world where people live in particular hardship or have not had the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ. We also help support the efforts of several missionary families who maintain close ties with our congregation.
