VISIT US
Welcome to Meadow Oaks Baptist Church!
As our guest, we want you to be comfortable and feel welcomed.
On this page, you’ll find everything you need to know about what to expect when you visit us on a Sunday morning. Have questions? Never hesitate to give us a call or send us an email!
-
What time do I arrive? On Sunday, Bible study begins at 10:00 a.m., and worship begins at 11:00 a.m.
-
Where should I park? You may park on either side of our building. If you are attending worship only, you may want to park in the lot near Oakdale Street because it is closer to the sanctuary. The parking lot near the playground will give you access to the church office, fellowship hall, and Bible study classes.
-
Where do I enter the building? There are signs posted outside of our building to help you find the church office, the fellowship hall, and the sanctuary.
-
Is the church accessible for people with disabilities? We do not have stairs into the sanctuary or the rear doors of the fellowship hall, so wheelchairs can enter freely. Unfortunately, we do not have automatic doors. A greeter will be able to help you enter the front of the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. Please call us if you need assistance!
-
What should I wear when I visit? Most of the world is more casual these days! Some wear business casual and some wear jeans. Come dressed as you feel comfortable!
-
What Bible study classes are available? On Sundays you may choose between adult, youth, and children’s classes. We also offer weekday Bible studies.
-
What is the worship style at MOBC?At Meadow Oaks we love music, scripture, and congregational readings. In general, we sing hymns and anthems which would be considered traditional worship. We have, however, celebrated a variety of music over the years from folk music to spirituals.
-
Who goes to your church? We welcome you, whatever your vocation, to join us in caring for others. Many members of Meadow Oaks are also caregivers in their choice of professions—nurses, chaplains, counselors, teachers, social workers, and volunteers.
-
Can a visitor take communion? The communion table is the Lord’s table. Anyone who claims Jesus Christ as Lord and savior is welcome to join us in communion.
-
Do I have to give money? You do not have to give any money to visit our church. We believe that the Lord loves a cheerful giver and each member should give whatever they have decided in their hearts to give.
-
Are small children welcome?Yes! Children are welcome at Meadow Oaks!
-
Is childcare available? We provide childcare for all church programs.
-
What should I do if I have more questions?Feel free to send us an email message at secretary@meadowoaks.org.
-
How do I join the church? If you would like to join our congregation, you may contact the ministerial staff at any service or email secretary@meadowoaks.org and indicate your interest. Our pastor will meet with you and pray with you.
-
How is the church denominationally aligned? Our congregation is affiliated with the Bell Baptist Association, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
